Hello Everyone ... Kelly again.
Donna had a pretty rough evening and spend most of the night in the bathtub trying to minimize the pain, she said that was when it was at it's most tolerable ... but it took it's toll.
She was unable to keep her breakfast down this morning but her and Brenda did make it to Chemo at 9:15am. Before they would even start the Chemo she was given 2 large bags of Sodium Chloride, she was very badly dehidrated from all the hot baths.
They then administered a bag of pain killer, a lesser dosage than morphine has, she felt a little nauseous for about 15 minutes but did not have the chest and stomach pains that she did with the Tylenol 3 and morphine.
This was followed by a bag of Chemo, 2 more bags of Sodium Chloride and then another Chemo.
Donna was then admitted into the hospital where she was given another bag of Sodium Chloride mixed with a pain killer, as for the next 21 days she will have a large syringe type bottle taped to her chest feeding into the port in her biscept, it is a very slow drip of Chemo that will be changed every 7 days.
Donna will be in the hospital for the next 3 or 4 day to find the pain medicine that will best works for her, get hydrated and to have the rest that she so desperatly needs.
At this time she has requested NO VISITORS with the exception of family, when she is feeling better and would like to have visitors we will let you all know.

Hello Everyone
This is Kelly, Donna has asked me to update her blog ... unfortunately she is not feeling very well.
On Monday she got the results from her CT scan ... not good. The ovarian cancer has shrunk but the stomach cancer is now a full blown tumor and putting pressure on her kidneys.
She is unable to take Tylenol 3 or the Morphine perscribe to mininize the pain, it only creates more pain for her ... on Tuesday she has an appointment with a Pain Specialist.
She was to start the next round of Chemo on Monday but due to the pain and not feeling well enough they have postponed the Chemo to tomorrow, Thursday.
Her Chemo treatment will be changed as per the Best Doctors Program to go more aggessively on the stomach tumor. This session should be 3 hour long instead of the 6 hours that she has been enduring, along with a Chemo bottle that will be administered at home 24/7 for 21 days with a refill and flush every 7 days at the Cancer Centre. We are all hoping and praying that this will shrink the tumor.
Donna was also in conversation with her Oncologist today inquiring of a treatment that could be administered directly to the stomach tumor. This would mean a 3 day Chemo treatment in Edmonton for 3 weeks period, she is waiting to see if this is being approved.
Brenda is with her this evening and will be going with Donna to her treatment tomorrow and staying till either Friday or Saturday. Thanks Brenda for being there.
Junelle has been going to the sitters daily ... even though this is very difficult for Donna, baby loves her new playmates. She is trying her very best to walk, there are 4 little girls which are her cheerleaders and this really provokes her to try harder but we all know that Junelle is her own best cheerleader. Just got to love her.
There is a house keeper that comes in once a week and she is doing an awesome job, this really takes the load off as she can power clean the entire house in 4 hours.
I would like to take this opportunity to Thank Everyone for the support they have shown and your financial support to this point has allowed Junelle to be a at sitters to give Donna the rest she needs and the housekeeper to continue on her Heroic Trek of Cancer. It will also help her to make the trips to Edmonton if the Onocologist gives his okay.
It is this kind of support that gives our family strenght and we keep you in our prayers as well as our sister Donna.
Take Care and God Bless

Hi To All,
We got some news from the Best Doctors program back. They feel that the chemo I am on is not aggresive enough. I spoke with my onocologist on Monday. He has moved my CT scan to tomorrow instead of Feb 1st. He will discuss this with his coleuges and make a decision weither or not to switch my chemo. Yet another waiting game. He will let me know the results on Monday and Tuesday is chemo. I will keep you updated! I am still recouperating from my port insertion. I have been moving my arm mutch better. On Monday they take the stitches out. I cant wait! We have had to send Junell to the sitter all this week and probibly next week! I wish she could stay at home with me! I miss her so much when she is gone! She makes it a lot easier when she comes home with Daddy and a smile from ear to ear for me. She likes her daycare. We are very fortunate she is in such good hands. Thank you Celine for taking such good care of her.
Darrens uncle passed away last week! Darren, Junell and I went out to Kenaston. I had a pretty hard time Darren was a pallbearer. Funerals are totaly the worst time for me. Thanks to those of you for the hugs. Uncle Anton is in a better place at least I know when I go I will have a dance partner! Ha! Ha! We will miss him! Thank you Valeska for watching Junell while we went to the funeral. It was greatly appriciated.
Darren, Junell & I had a great weekend! My freind Rudy was down from Edmonton. Miles our bestman from the wedding invited us out to his place. It was great we got lots of R & R. He may have lost Darren's ring at the wedding but he sure makes a mean turkey. He made his famous BBQed turkey I have been craving. Num Num! We just sat around and visited and ate It was like going to a cabin far away. It was so nice to catch up and have some alone time with Rudy. Thank you Miles & Rudy for being such great freinds.
Monday & Tuesday were pretty rough days. All I did was sleep sleep sleep! Today I finally got enough energy to do things around the house. I dont know If I had a touch of the flue. Darren was home sick yesterday. What a time to be going through chemo. It seems like every 2nd person I have talked to has had it! I thank God my immune system is holding up!
Well enough for now! I better go get my nap in before you know who comes smiling in the door!
Thanks for everything!
Keep Praying!
Love Donna

Hi To All,
Well these last few weeks have been quite the challenge in my trek for all of us! I had chemo last monday Darren drove Junell and I to Humboldt for the week. I Thank god every day for my wonderfull parents & family. I don't know what I would do without them. Yet again they stepped up to the plate. Thanks mom & Dad! I spoke with the sitter on Sunday night her daughter had a virus so we decided we would go to Humbolt to avoid her getting it. Wrong! Wensday night while in Humboldt she spiked a feaver. Good old Grandma & Grandpa rushed her to emergency. We came home Friday and took her to emegency again! Just a virus that had to run its course. Saturday afternoon It went to 103.5 we took her to Dr.Singh. By Monday her feaver finnally broke. Thank goodness! All she wanted to do is catch a free ride on everyons shoulder. She must be back to normal she is trying to push the power button on our computer!!
My freind Lisa came on Saturday to spend some time with me. Tanks for all the help Lisa. Thank goodness she was here to help! I could'nt get a thing done with Junell being sick.
Darren stayed home with Junell on Tuesday and Lisa took me to the hospital for my port insertion. Let me tell you it better be worth it. I got home from day surgery at 6:00. By 8:30 Lisa had to take me back to emergency with bad cramps which I had had earlier while in recovery. We waited a few hours and they went away so we left the hospital. I think it may have been the tylenol 3.
Lisa left yesterday and Darren took baby to the sitter yesterday & today while he went to work. I am unable to lift for 2 weeks. Hopefully this will be the last of surgery for a long time. I get real frustrated when I want to spend time with Junell and I can't because of this all. We take so much forgranted!
Keep praying and thank you all for your support!!!
Well I better go!
