Good Morning this is Kelly & Brenda
Yet another amazing evening of scares and with Donna still fighting onward with her Heroic Trek , she is such a fighter but is tired and we are praying for her to be at peace.
She is resting comfortably with her breathing being vary shallow throughout the night and into this morning with Mom & Dad Hendriks, Darren, Kelly & Terry, Brenda and Colleen constantly by her side and Sheree actually spent time sitting with her last night ... what a trooper, we all know how difficult this was for her.
The most difficult times for her is when the nurses come in to turn her ... the staff is great and yesterday waited till we all had showers before turning her ... just in case.
There are continually birds on her window ledge ready to take her home but she is just ignoring them, Donna has always done what she wanted to do and she is not ready to fly off with them just yet.
There have been masses for her in Humboldt, Kenaston, Yorkton, Cudworth and we are sure other communities that we are not aware of.
Today will be a rest day for Donna and only Family members will be in her room.
Any friends wishing to visit and be near her we have left a signature sheet outside her hospital room door, please sign the sheet and share time with each other in the waiting room off the elevators where the family will keep you posted. The time that you share with each other in support of the family is truly something that touches Donna very deeply to know that all the people she loves are together and supporting each other.
We please ask that you respect the wishes of the family and allow Donna this time to soar with her family to that special place where Roxanne, Ted, Tootsie, Darlene, Cornellia, Lorne, Marlene, Rosie, Grandparents, and those that have preceded her from the Sorotski Family are waiting to take her on the next leg of her Heroic Trek.

I wanted to let you know I was thinking about you all. You must be growing weary so I hope you are able to rest and take care of yourselves as well as Donna. Thanks Kelly, Brenda and Colleen for updating the site so faithfully and being such loving and supportive sisters in such a difficult time. It was good to see you Brenda and I was grateful we got to talk.
Donna
I am so glad that I ran into you and Kelly that day. I was glad to see you both. I am thankful it was you that told me the news. I think often of the positive way you told me your diagnosis and how it was you reaching out instantly to hug to comfort me. Your strength and compassion for my feelings in such a terrible time really touched me.
I have been and will keep you and your family in my prayers like you asked. I am glad you have had your family so close to you during all this. I often think of the fun we had growing up together and it makes me smile. I wish you peace. Rest well.
Love,
Deb
Hey Donna,
I had a dream about you last night. You were busy as usual, taking care of others. You were in such a wonderful place and I know that you were happy there. I'm thinking of you and you will be in my heart always.

Donna, you truly are an amazing person fighting so hard in your trek. there is no doubt you have been an amazing mom to junelle, a daughter, sister, aunt & friend. You have left many foot prints in your life here & it is now time to make some new foot prints in your new life to come. be in peace.
To Colleen, Brenda, Kelly, Myron, mom & dad - you are an amazing family, so strong & loving. I hope you too can be at peace soon with donna's trek. You all have fought long & hard.

Donna, I have just been told by Grace that you had this blog going so I have read your entire journey and I am so impressed with your attitude and the strength you have shown in trying to beat this terrible disease. My heart goes out to your little daughter and how she will always treasure the movies that you have made with your camcorder. Do you remember the aweful mess I made of your hair when you were my freshie? I guess eggs don't get out brylcream. Be at peace and know that you have a loving and caring family to look after your daughter. God bless you and your family!
Kelly and Russell Wittke
