Hello Everyone this is Kelly

Donna got out of the hospital Wednesday, very tired but all hydrated.

Thursday she had to have her chemo syringe refilled, this is at a very slow drip that she will be wearing 24/7 for 5 months, not the original 21 days that she was told and will need to be refilled every 7 days. When and I got to her house she was very tired and just wanted to sleep. About 15 minutes after we got to the Cancer Clinic she started throwing up, so they gave her a bag of anti-nausea medication, she felt better and had a small supper.

Friday she called me at my conference to take her to her Oncologist cause she started vomiting again. He did blood work, x-rays, bag of potassium and fluids. She was admitted into the hospital where she is still tonight until they find the right anti-nausea drug that works and she is able to keep foods down.

She is awfully bored and would like visitor but we ask that you limit your visits to a maximum of 30 minutes or less. Please pay attention to how her energy level is and if she is tired please just let her have her rest.

Hi there Kelly. Sorry to hear Donna is having troubles with figuring out the right dosages required for anti-nausea...its a real tough haul. I am not sure if Donna has tried the meal replacement drinks [ie: ensure] yet, but when dad was going through the cancer meds, that was kind of what kept him going since he was rarely able to keep anything down. The new meal replacement brands have probably changed over the past 9 years since we needed them for dad, so the pharmacist will be able to recommend the best brand out there now. Hope this helps...

Love you loads,

Mar.
